Education CommitteeThe Education Committee was established to guide and support the educational mission of the American Crystallographic Association, with particular emphasis on programming associated with the Annual Meeting. Historically, the Committee reviewed proposals for workshops held in conjunction with the Annual Meeting and made recommendations to the ACA Council regarding their inclusion in the scientific program. It also evaluated proposals for the ACA Small Molecule Crystallography School and reviewed applications for Student Travel Awards for the Annual Meeting, forwarding recommendations to Council in each case. The Committee met at least once annually. The Chair reported the Committee’s activities and recommendations to the ACA Council in writing at the Annual Meeting, ensuring continuity and oversight of the Association’s educational initiatives.
