Fankuchen Memorial Award

The Fankuchen Memorial Award honors individuals who have made significant contributions to crystallographic research and who are also recognized as exceptional teachers of crystallography. Established in 1971 in memory of Dr. I. Fankuchen, a distinguished Professor of Physics at the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, the award celebrates the fusion of scientific accomplishment and pedagogical excellence that defined his career.
